China

China’s AML was enacted in 2007 and effective from Aug 1, 2008. SAMR (est. 2018) enforces it, with strategic oversight by the State Council’s Anti-Monopoly Commission.

Colombia

Colombia’s competition law began with Law No. 155 of 1959. The SIC is led by a President-appointed Superintendent under the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

Costa Rica

The competition regime in Costa Rica is based on the Law on the Promotion of Competition and Effective Consumer Protection (Law No. 7472) enacted in 1994.

Croatia

The Croatian competition legal framework is based on the Competition Act of Croatia, enacted on November 9, 2009, enforced by the Croatian Competition Agency.

Curaçao

The Fair Trade Authority is Curaçao's federal competition agency. The agency was created by the National Ordinance of March 29, 2016.

Cyprus

Cyprus’ competition legal framework is set forth by the Protection of Competition Law of 1990 and the Control of Concentrations Law of 2014.

Denmark

Created in 2010, the DCCA is in charge of competition and consumer protection policies. The DCC also enforcers the competition laws.

Dominican Republic

Dominican Competition Regime is contained primarily in the General Act for the Defense of Competition that was enacted on January 16, 2008.

Ecuador

The competition regime in Ecuador is based on the Law for the Regulation and Control of Market Power, enacted in 2011.

Egypt

The Egyptian Competition Law was enacted in Feb 2005 and is enforced by the ECA, an independent body overseen by a board of officials and competition experts.
