The Egyptian Competition Law No. 3 was enacted in February , 2005. This law is enforced by the Egyptian Competition Authority (ECA), an independent body established in 2005 under the supervision of the Prime Minister. The ECA is managed by an Executive Director and a Board of Directors, which includes representatives from key ministries and competition law experts. The Board oversees enforcement priorities and approves strategic decisions for implementing the law.
