Cyprus’ competition legal framework is set forth mainly by the Protection of Competition Laws, enacted in 1990 and which has created the Commission for the Protection of Competition (CPC), and the Control of Concentrations Between Undertakings Law, enacted in 2014. The CPC is the authority in Cyprus in charge of investigating potential infringements to the country's and also European competition laws. The CPC is managed by a collegiate body composed of five Commissioners and one of them serves as the chairperson.
