The Fair Trade Authority is Curaçao's federal competition agency. The agency was created by the National Ordinance of March 29, 2016, which established the National Ordinance on Competition. Such ordinance attributes to the Fair Trade Authority the powers for investigating cartels, abuses of a dominant position and conducting ex ante merger control. The Fair Trade Authority is led by at least three and no more than five members.
