The Croatian competition legal framework is based on the Competition Act of Croatia, enacted on November 9, 2009. The Croatian Competition Agency (CCA) is the country's federal authority in charge of enforcing competition laws. The CCA was established by a decision issued by the Croatian Parliament on September 20, 1995, and became operational in early 1997. The CCA is run and managed by the Competition Council, which is composed of five members appointed for a five-year term by the Croatian Parliament.
