The Federal Decree-Law No. (36) on the Regulation of Competition was enacted in December 2023. The United Arab Emirates does not have a standalone competition authority. Instead, the Ministry of Economy is responsible for enforcing competition law through its Competition Department. A Competition Regulation Committee, operating under the Ministry, supports policy implementation and oversight.
