The Competition Act of Singapore was enacted in October 2004. The Competition Commission of Singapore (CCS) was established in 2005 to administer and enforce the Competition Act. In 2018, CCS was renamed the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS), reflecting its additional role in administering the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act. The CCCS operates as a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. It is governed by a Chairman and a Chief Executive, supported by a team of Commission Members.
