The Law on Competition of Kyrgyzstan was enacted in July 2011. The National Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic for Antimonopoly Policy and Development of Competition (NAAPDC) was established in 2005. The NAAPDC operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and is led by a Chairman, who is appointed by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers.
