The Indonesian Competition Law was enacted in March 1999. The Indonesian Competition Commission was established in 2000 as the independent authority responsible for enforcing competition law. The Indonesian Competition Commission is an independent body consisting of Commissioners, appointed by the President of Indonesia with approval from the House of Representatives (DPR).
