Chile

The Chilean Competition Law was enacted in 1973. The Chilean Competition Authority was established in 2004. The Authority is led by the National Economic Prosecutor, appointed by the President, and operated independently as the investigative body, while enforcement decisions are made by a separate judicial body, the Court of Defense of Free Competition.
